The 37th Conference ESSV – ELECTRONIC SPEECH SIGNAL PROCESSING
will take place at the Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Eichstätt (Altmühltal)

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS / PAPERS
The conference covers a wide range of topics in the field of speech processing. We therefore invite contributions on the following subjects:
- Speech recognition and natural language understanding
- Speech synthesis and generation
- (Multimodal) speech dialogue systems
- Quality assessment of spoken language and speech technology
- Measurement, processing, and modeling of articulation
- Phonetic, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic aspects in technical applications
- Studies and applications of paralinguistics
- Modeling of language acquisition processes
- Acoustic and visual pattern recognition
- Music, bio, and technical signals – applications and processing
- Applications in medical, care, and rehabilitation technology
- Cognitive and neural systems
- Speech technology for industrial and domestic use
Contributions on related topics, reports on work in progress (including Show & Tell presentations), and theoretical discussions are also warmly welcome. The conference languages are German and English. Furthermore, guests from academia, industry, and public institutions, as well as interested students, are cordially invited to attend even without their own conference contribution.
All accepted contributions will be published in the conference proceedings, which will appear in the "Studientexte zur Sprachkommunikation" series by TUDpress, as well as in the public online archive of ESSV (https://www.essv.de/). Additionally, an award will be presented for the best student paper.
