Current information about the corona virus

Status: 28.02.2020, continuously updated.

The ESSV 2020 will take place on schedule from 4 to 6 March 2020.

Please be assured that the health and safety of our participants is our highest priority. We follow the instructions of the responsible health authorities and the daily recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute to ensure this. The Robert Koch Institute does not currently assume an increased risk at trade fairs and major events. According to the WHO, the number of cases worldwide is actually declining at present.

As a preventive measure, we will take extensive cleaning and disinfection measures. In addition, everyone should follow the protective measures recommended by the Robert Koch Institute: wash hands frequently and thoroughly, observe the sneezing and coughing conventions, and refrain from shaking hands. Disinfectants will be available in every meeting room, in the toilets and at the conference office. A minimum distance to the microphones must be maintained during lectures.

For the protection of all, we ask all persons belonging to the risk group to stay away from ESSV. The risk group includes those who have had contact with people who tested positive and show signs of typical symptoms within the last 14 days before ESSV, as well as people who have been in one of the risk areas within the last 14 days before ESSV. According to the Robert Koch Institute please find here a list of current risk areas.
